As soon as fall hits here in New York City it seem as though my body is already anticipating the winter season ahead. My hands begin to get increasingly dry, my lips chap, my sun-induced freckles fade and I go into full hibernation mode. While I look forward to lounging on the couch in my favorite Social Sunday pullover during the colder months (I'm Social Sunday's account executive!), I can't say I love the season's effect on my skin, hair, and nails.
So if you find your body physically rejecting winter in every way and can’t escape the cold this time of year (hey, a girl can dream) fear not—I have rounded up my holy grail beauty products to keep you glowing and heavily moisturized 'til spring arrives.
This is one of my "if you only had three products to take to a deserted island with you" beauty holy grails. I have been loyally using this moisturizer since I was in my teens and have never looked back. If you’re like me and your skin is super dry all year long, this will hydrate your thirsty skin instantly. If you don't have dry skin but are still craving hydration during the season this product is still light enough for those with oily or combination skin.

I recently picked this up on one of our road trips visiting stores in Florida. It is the most luxurious lip scrub I have ever used and well worth the price. After using this scrub my lips feel insanely smooth and you can’t beat the lovely scent of peppermint and rose geranium.

I always recommend utilizing more than one product to combat chapped lips during the winter months so after I use the lip scrub I follow up with this lip treatment from Hanalei. It contains shea butter, agave, and grapeseed oils to lock in moisture. The formula is quite thick so I suggest using this before bed as the last step in your night time routine.

A great product doesn’t always have to break the bank. This hydrating hair mask from Garnier is available at drugstores and will quench even the driest split ends. This mask will make your hair insanely soft and the tropical scent is a nice reminder that winter will not last forever. At least you can pretend you are vacationing in the islands just by taking a shower!

I love the refreshing sent of this Lush cuticle butter. It is the perfect revitalizing pick-me-up on a cold winter day. Formulated with skin softening mango butter, this cream also works great on other dry skin spots like elbows and heels.

One of the aspects I hate most about winter is the loss of glowing summer skin. We tend to shy away from bronzers during the cold months of the year, but never forget that highlighter is your friend and will keep you glowing even when it is 30 degrees outside. I like using a cream formula this time of year since a powder option can make skin look even more dry than it is! This Lighting Crew highlighter creates an illuminating glow without being sparkly, and is formulated with vitamins.
