Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia
Australia is conveniently operating on a seasons system that's opposite ours. So while we're suffering through the winter, the Aussies are enjoying summer. All of the Byron Bay beaches are great for trying your hand at surfing and listening to cute Australian accents.
Tulum's a spot for both beach lovers and history lovers. There are Mayan ruins to discover and learn about plus white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Plus, there are a bunch of trendy boutique hotels that have sprung up (you've probably stalked photos of your fave influencers at some Tulum spots) that you can stay at instead of a more traditional hotel
Cape Town, South Africa
A destination for beautiful beaches, culture, and wildlife! There's a lot to discover with Cape Town's diverse population. You can even head to Boulders Beach where you can see loads of wild PENGUINS! After you kick it on the seaside of Africa's West Coast for a while, head in land and book a Safari—because how can you go to Africa without going on a Safari?
Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic
This DR spot is a little less busy than super touristy destination Punta Cana. Some say Las Terrenas is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Carribbean. It's also a popular place for European expats. Who knows... you might just end up wanting to relocate there, also!
Curacao is an island in the Caribbean that sadly goes forgotten! The Dutch Island has a hybrid feel of both Caribbean and European ways of life (but definitely a Caribbean climate!) Colorful buildings line the water, reminiscent of the rainbow of houses that line the canals in Amsterdam. Unlike in Amsterdam, you can definitely snorkel and scuba dive here.
Tahiti, French Polynesia
I mean...who doesn't dream of going to Tahiti and staying in an overwater bungalow? Having a little beach bungalow that leads you straight into crystal clear, calm water to swim in seems like the dream. See also: Bora Bora
