How To Feel Empowered During Women's History Month, According to Social Sunday Fans

Posted on

Our latest collection is all about Women Empowerment and we were so excited to share these designs with our entire audience. Here at Social Sunday we are always thinking about how to continue to lift others up on our way to achieving our goals and that's what this collection was all about.

Inspired by this latest capsule collection, we decided to ask some Social Sunday fans what empowerment means to them and how they empower others. Here's what they had to say.

Meet:
Lisa Santos of @andieanderin

SS: What does being empowered feel like to you?
L: Being empowered is having the confidence to move in the direction you want to move and to lift others alongside you in the process.

SS: Is there a moment that stands out to you where you felt empowered by your peers?
L: I am lucky to be surrounded by women of action: risk takers and motivators. There are several instances that come to mind, but it is my co-founder and great friend, Cara that empowers me on the regular. She always provides a sense of reassurance just when I need it :)

How do you hope to empower other women around you?

L: Empowering women is our passion behind andieanderin. We hope our neckties make women feel like the powerful bosses that they are!

Meet: Peyton Sterns of @bashednyc @peytonlsterns

What does being empowered feel like to you?
P: Like I can take on the worldtotally and completely as myself.

Is there a moment that stands out to you where you felt empowered by your peers?
P: I recently led and moderated a conversation in a women's networking group that I'm a part of. At the end of the session, everyone clapped. It sounds like a small gesture, but when it comes from a room full of women you respect so much—and it's unexpected—it goes a long way.

How do you hope to empower other women around you?
P: I try to make time for younger women who are just getting started or coming up in their careers. I think it's important to set a supportive tone for them early on so that they hopefully adapt that and pay it forward to future gals they meet.

Gear up to support those around you with the Women Empowerment Collection, available now. How do you empower others? Share in the comments!
