Abby Mills has a stand-out aesthetic (and an amazing blog name—Clothes and Pizza). She seamlessly mixes vintage and new pieces to create looks all of her own. We caught up with her to learn some fashion tips, and, of course, find out where her fave pizza is from.

: What's your favorite trend this season? Do you try to follow trends or go your own way?
ABBY MILLS: I try not to follow trends too closely. There's nothing worse than seeing a photo of yourself from a few years back and cringing in sartorial shame. My style is kind of a mix of vintage and contemporary brands, so I like to keep things relatively modern with a retro twist.
SD: Who influences your style?
AM: I have a ton of Insta-style crushes— Beth Jones (@bjonesstyle), Ada (@stylebyada), Tessa (@tezzamb), Alanna Durkovich (@xandervintage), to name a few. I also have mega fashion respect for Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Leandra Medine.
SD: What's your favorite tattoo you have?
AM: This is a tough question! I've collected quite a few over the years. I share a couple of bro-tats with friends, which have sentimental value. But I think my favorite is probably my most recent—"Nasty Woman" in script on my calf. Shout to out Nash Hogan at 3 Kings Tattoo.
SD: Where are your favorite places to shop in Brooklyn?
AM: These days I do most of my shopping online, but when I have time to shop IRL I'm usually in vintage stores. I love 10 Foot Single by Stella Dallas, L Train Vintage, Dusty Rose, and Beacon's Closet.
SD: What about your favorite spots to eat in BK?
AM: Not in Brooklyn, but I love Momofuku Ramen. Their pork buns are to die for. In Brooklyn, I love Le Barricou on Grand Street. Any meal there is perfection, but I'm partial to their brunch. I also love the salmon steak at St. Anselm and the nachos at El Cortez.
SD: Most importantly, who has your favorite pizza in the city!?
AM: Easy. Carmine's Pizza on Graham Avenue has this barbecue chicken slice that I literally have dreams about. My husband knows not to even talk to me when I'm eating it because I give it all of my attention. Fun fact: Carmine of Carmine's Pizza is also our landlord. Sadly, he does not give us a discount.
