SOCIAL DECAY: What made you make the move from Scotland to London?
EMMA COPLAND: I was actually really unsure about moving to London as it is such a fast paced city, but after discovering East London and having my first pint on the cobbled streets of Brick Lane surrounded by street art I knew this was the right place for me. I said I would only stay here for a year but… it has now been five!
SD: You say you've got a serious case of wanderlust. What are the top 3 places that you'd like to visit that you haven't seen yet?
EC: My travel wish list is seriously endless, I would love nothing more than to pack up my things and travel the world in a camper van, but if I have to choose three I think they would be:
1) India - which I am going to this year!
2) Canada - for some serious snowboarding
3) This one is kind of cheating but I would love to do a musical history road trip around the USA. I have been lucky enough to travel quite a lot of the States, but I always leave wanting to see more.
SD: What did you think about New York when you visited here?!
EC: I cannot get enough of New York, I have visited a ridiculous amount of times. Usually I hang out around the Lower East Side, but this was my first time in Brooklyn. If I could move to Bushwick tomorrow I would, Brooklyn had such an incredible vibe - so many amazing eateries and the street art was out of this world. I am sure I will be making another trip back in the next year or two.
SD: Who are your favorite rock 'n' roll bands?
EC: This question is that hardest one yet! My list could go on for pages, but the rock bands I listen to most frequently are probably Nirvana, The Clash, Def Leppard, Led Zeppelin, Motorhead, New York Dolls, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Guns n Roses, Joan Jett, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Deap Vally, Marmozets, Royal Blood, Band of Skulls and The Pretty Reckless. I am sure I have forgotten so many!!
SD: Who are your style icons?
EC: I mainly look to street style, rock bands, bikers, skate culture and other bloggers for fashion inspiration but a few celebrities that I like the style of are Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart and Zoe Kravitz. I am inspired by style that serves up a little attitude.
