My most anticipated Ready-To-Wear show of fashion month is always Saint Laurent. We can always count on vintage inspired punk rock looks with modern updates. Since Hedi Slimane took over creative direction for the fashion house, the collections have become less classic and more gritty-grunge, just the way we like it. The Spring/Summer 2016 collection took the term "punk rock princess" to another level. Delicate and intricate tiaras adorned models' tousled hair, and somehow worked with leather, denim, metallic fabric, and furs.
Black lace was prominent, and more edgy than delicate. Oversized denim was paired with barely there slips. Animal prints from tiger to cheetah made an appearance as well as some pastel pinks which went nicely with all of the black. As always, this collection was definitely my favorite of fashion month...and I'm already twiddling my thumbs waiting for next season.
