It seems that this year, the 70's trend shows no signs of stopping. It's all about boho rock 'n' roll vibes. Oftentimes in fashion, we have to look to the past for inspiration. Who better to look to for outfit ideas than Stevie Nicks, who has been named one of the queens of rock 'n' roll. Fleetwood Mac, the band she fronted, was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, years after their best selling album Rumors was released in 1977 and after Stevie had gone solo.
During the band's height of success, Stevie had seriously developed her sense of personal style, inspiring women of her time. She was set apart from other women in the music industry, causing a stir with her "controversial" outfits that led people to believe she's a witch. Now, bloggers and celebs of 2015 still count her as a style influencer. It makes sense, 'cause even years later, Stevie has still maintained her image and fashion sense at 67. Goals. Plus, who can forget her cameo on American Horror Story: Coven.
Some of her staples were all black ensembles (obviously), skinny ties/necklaces, stacked jewelry, lacy get ups, flared pants, fringe, top hats, and of course, shawls meant for spinning in. This is all stuff that we can wear today, especially now that October is right around the corner and soon fall will be in full swing.
Long live Fleetwod Mac, Stevie Nicks, and her legacy that continues to inspire us year after year!
