5 Items to Get You to Love Pantone's Color of 2019, Living Coral

Posted on

Vibrant, warm, with a dash of optimism: Living Coral has been named 2019’s Color of the Year by Pantone. According to Pantone, Living Coral (or PANTONE 16-1546, precisely) celebrates the energy that is captured by social interaction and intimacy. As we strive for a new year of building new friendships and strengthening old ones, Living Coral embodies this resolution. You can expect to see a lot of this pinky-orangey-reddish hue everywhere for the next twelve months—in beauty, and fashion, even electronics, and beyond. It’s a super fun color that can brighten your whole year! Here is a round-up of items that’ll make you love Living Coral:

1. Glossier Cloud Paint in Dawn

If you didn't already know yet, a lot of us here LOVE Glossier. Their Cloud Paints, especially the shade Dawn, are a must-have for any beauty lover. This is a revolutionary blush for anybody (makeup beginners or experts) to achieve a flushed look. The formula is soft and somehow feels like both gel and a cream product. All you have to do is dab a tiny amount of the product onto your cheek. Dawn appears to be a very loud coral in the tube, but it goes on pretty sheer to give you a beautiful, natural-looking flush. Coral makes a great color for blush, since it's a departure from your typical, rosy shades. For more drama, you can definitely add build this product to create a more vibrant color.

2. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Polish in Coral Reef

A subtle way to rock Living Coral is by painting your nails in Sally Hansen's Coral Reef nail polish. Living Coral is a warm shade that is universally flattering and painting your nails this color is an easy way to instantly spruce up any outfit. Plus, Sally Hansen's nail polish line is affordable (this nail polish is less than $3!) and of great quality, from my own experience.

3. Pantone Limited Edition Journal

If you haven't started journaling for the year, it's never too late! Keep your goals, daily thoughts, and plans organized in this stylish Living Coral Journal from no other than Pantone. It's minimalistic, but not boring thanks to the color. I'm in love with how the white text and band that really pops against the coral. If you need this Living Coral journal in your life, you might want to buy it now—it's limited edition!

4. Adidas Crop Hoodie

Athleisure has been a huge trend last year and it's here to stay in 2019. So why not add this Adidas coral crop hoodie to your winter wardrobe? Bright colors aren't only meant for the summer. It's also reasonably cropped to be appropriate for the colder weather. Just put on a pair of high-waisted black leggings and you'll have an easy look!

5. Google Home Mini in Coral

Sorry, Alexa—we're going to talk about the Google Home Mini in Coral instead because Amazon dots and other smart speakers out there don't come in fun colors, for some reason. When it comes to choosing a smart speaker based on value (only $30!) and aesthetics, the Google Home Mini is a winner. Since a smart speaker is placed in your home, it doubles as home decor, whether you like it or not. Let this Living Coral speaker brighten up your space while following your commands.
